Frequently Asked Questions

Microsoft FrontPage Questions

Can I use FrontPage 98?
Earlier versions of FrontPage are compatible with FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions. Earlier versions of the client software cannot use all the FrontPage 2002 features but the more basic features that 98 offers will still work. We do recommend that our customers using FrontPage 98 purchase the FrontPage 2002 upgrade because of the enhanced stability and compatibility with our servers. This will also allow you to utilize the newest FrontPage components.

Can I use FTP to upload my files when I have FrontPage Extensions?
You can do that, but you must NOT modify or replace the .htaccess file or the *_vti directories as it will corrupt your FrontPage permission settings and results in damaged FrontPage extensions.

Can I use CGI scripts when FrontPage extensions are installed?
Yes

Do you support FrontPage 2000 and 2002?
Yes
